Barrelland
This game will be based on the main element of the barrel. It will be a new and exciting game of problem solving and interactive environment. This will include elements of strategy, defense, combat, logic and communication. The game will have a play on the term morals, at times the user will have to do what’s wrong to save himself and then at other times do what’s right to get to the other side. There will be many obstacles to challenge the mind to interact with what’s on the screen. The game will have various parallel planes and the game will vary in un-usual depths of how challenging a level will be.
Problem solving will occur as a user tries to navigate their way through an environment, which is established of a maze of barrels that need re arranging to move on, on the path to find the ultimate barrel. But it’s not just a matter of moving the barrels the barrels have hidden secrets within which can then in turn become either added obstacles or life savers and elements to speed progression defense and attack bonuses and many other goodies.
The Interactive environment will be the clutter of barrels a user is faced with on entre to a level that will need rearranging left right behind to get the user forward but every barrel touched will have either consequences, no surprise or remedies which is just luck of the draw.
The user will develop strategy by working out how it is best to move the barrels and which ones to touch and which ones not to touch by a labeling system on the barrels which will hint at their contents and the risk factor involved in moving them but this labeling system will have to be learned by the user through trial and error.
The character will have to be able to defend its self against the contents of the barrels which could spill toxic chemicals, squash the user, revels enemies, open the never ending spiral (the black hole of infinity), insult or charm the user into confusion and disorientation and many other hazards of the kind. For this defense the player will get kitted out with all sorts of different accessories and abilities.
An element of combat will be established when the user is about to be attacked by a beast out of the barrel or the chemical liquids or gases of the barrel or even the flames of greed flying the user and the black hole trying to consume the user.
Logic would have to be one of the main musts for the game as the user chooses what to do with the barrels around him where to move to, where to place and rearrange a barrel, and then also decision making as to which barrels are save to move, and weighing up the risk factor and chance factors of moving certain barrels, as one could take some life off, some could give some life and others may just need only little moving.
Communication will also be used as the player will be asked questions by the guard barrels and depending on the choice of his answer his fate will be decided. This is where morals will come into it some of the elements revealed by moving the barrels will have to be slain where others will have to be talked to and then again some will have to be comforted before the main character can proceed.
The main obstacles and challenges of the game will be what the barrels hold inside but there will also be unmovable barrels that will pose problems like building a stepping network of barrels to climb over those unmovable. As a user gets to the end of a level they will teleported to another parallel level where the rearranging challenge will start over again.
As for the lay out there will be a network of barrels set up in a complex body on a grid which will have elements like tunnels and arches made out of barrels on it, in fact a whole landscape of barrels will be the environment. The user on his journey through the rearranging challenge will have to joy of building his strengths and abilities learn some life problem solving skills and come out as the owner of barrel land at the end of the story.
The story will begin will little Franz on a journey of questions and answers and as he finds out through his travels nothing is ever as easy as it seems, but when you’re a fighter and your strive to succeed you become the owner of one self and the owner of something big as you will experience in this game to own Barrelland.
